Workshop Update: New Products, Delays, and Exciting Projects at CPC
G'day fellas, Ariel from CPC her with our workshop update.
Product Updates:
- Diff Hats Completed:
- We’ve completed a batch of Diff Hats, including gaskets and fittings.
- Ready for immediate dispatch, with the website updated accordingly.
- Backorders have also been sent out.
- Intake Manifolds:
Challenges:
- RB26 Manifolds Delay:
- A redesign of the billet water pipe affected fitment.
- Waiting on materials to complete the remachining and anodising process.
- Customers will be informed about the delay.
- Missing Parts:
- Some parts went missing in freight between us and our carbon fibre supplier.
- This affects two orders; customers will be updated on the situation
Equipment and Process Enhancements:
- Machine Upgrades:
- VM3 with 5-axis trunnion is back up and running.
- One VF2 is down but being upgraded with a 4th axis.
- Probing added to all three HASS machines for in-process quality checking via Autodesk Fusion 360.
- New 3D Printer:
- Introducing the Bamboo X1 Carbon 3D Printer for prototyping.
- First prototypes include the RB26 cam cover sets, ensuring accuracy before full production.
Current Projects:
- CSF Intake Manifolds:
- Running non-stop on the Herco machine, covering Gen 1, Gen 2 B58, and B58 Race X models.
- NRE Parts:
- One VF2 is finishing a batch of NRE parts.
- VM3 is running Lamborghini parts.
- RB26 and RB30 Manifolds:
- 10 RB26 drag manifolds are next in line.
- RB30 street version intake manifolds, our longest-running product, are also being prepared.
Future Developments:
- RB30 Rocker Covers:
- High demand product with material and time allocated for production.
- Billet Cylinder Heads:
- 2JZ billet cylinder head expected to be used for testing at the Winter Nationals and Jamboree.
- RB26 billet cylinder head prototype for Croydon Racing Development.
Exciting Collaborations:
- Shane1JZ747 Revamp:
- Supporting Shane with a new intake manifold and intercooler for his revamped car.
- 3D Printed Inconel Exhaust Manifold:
- Developing a lightweight, purpose-built manifold for an RB26 R32 GDR compound turbo.
